The main wiki appears to be UP. Last checked: 2010-03-10 19:25:00 GMT. Google Hint: you can also search Google by beginning your search term with "g" or "G" (for example "g second life".) This bypass is convenient when using the search plug-in (see below.) You can default to Google instead by changing your preferences. Note: If you use one of the browsers listed below, you can add the LSL Wiki Search Tool to your browser's search box! Firefox 2 users can also take advantage of auto-completion!
Internet Explorer 7 Users: Click on the search box arrow as shown below. You must select "Add Search Providers" then click "LSL Wiki Search Tool". Otherwise the tool will not be installed. Enjoy! ![]() Figure 1: Adding the tool to IE 7 Firefox 2 Users: Click on the search box arrow and select "Add LSL Wiki Search Tool". On this browser the tool supports LSL auto-completion (shown below.) Try it out!! The auto-completion works even when you're using the Google hint. ![]() Figure 2: Firefox 2 auto-completion Firefox 1.x Users: Download this zip file and copy the two files within into Firefox's "searchplugin" directory, usually at "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\searchplugins". Be careful not to accidentally place them into the regular "plugins" directory; the files must go into the "searchplugin" one. On any version of Firefox you can also configure the search right into the main location (URL) bar: ![]() Figure 3: Firefox main url bar integration To do so:
![]() Figure 4: Example properties setting Now you can type in any LSL search right on the main bar by simply prefixing it with "lsl". (For example, "lsl communications".) Konqueror: You can create a Konqueror Web Shortcut to access the search tool directly from the Location Bar. Refer to the Konqueror Handbook for general information on how to create Web Shortcuts. For Konqueror, the URI to use is "http://targetomega.com/cgi-bin/lslwiki?s=\{@}" (without the quotes.) Then, if you specified "lsl" as the shortcut, you may search the Wiki from the Location Bar, e.g. "lsl: llGetScale". Acknowledgements: Thanks to Catherine Omega who started it all, and continues to maintain the LSL Wiki. Thraxis Epsilon runs the rpgstats mirror which provided much needed access during downtime periods. Stephen Zenith kindly provided Konqueror configuration settings. And most importantly, thanks to the countless scripters and contributors who made the LSL Wiki the indispensable tool it is today.
